Microfinance California
Based out of the Bay Area, Opportunity Fund, one of the largest microfinance institutions in California, received an inaugural James Irvine Foundation Leadership Award. The Irvine Foundation provided start-up funding to help Opportunity Fund and partner organizations raise the profile of microfinance in California through communications initiatives such as the Microfinance California conference. The conference highlights microfinance strategies and practices unique to the United States economy, including the role of financial institutions in community development and the importance of financial education in the context of a predatory lending crisis.
Mountain Pine Design was proud to build Microfinance California's website from start to finish, taking a site design and sketching out the architecture. The site is customized with a unique templated layout and was designed to allow administrators at Opportunity Fund to easily modify the web pages using the popular HTML editor, Dreamweaver.
